Default Need good coilpack heat shield

I want one that has srt-4 cut out of it. I know i saw one somewhere but I can't find it now. What would be cooler is if someone could do a custom cutout or something. Like my forums name or something.... well.... i would be happy with SRT-4.

has anyone tried moving the coilpack off the valve cover? Seems like a bad place for it to begin wtih

just thinking that all the heat from the turbo and engine could be avoided if you just moved the coil pack.... like over by the battery or something

anyways, ill check out the PTP one, found one from JMB too.

edit: it says that the only color ptp carries is blue.... I need red or black

let me add, this is a superior part that is simply plug and play. just modify the fuck out of it and it should be safe to have on or in your car.

There is one on my car that is all polished and blingy. Not like I am using it. Just swing by and tell the wife I said you can take whatever you want.

If you have a stock coil don't waste your time with a heat sheild. Oops I didn't say that, little secret that everyone knows.

Fuck this again? Frog I want to put this to rest so you have the equipment to do rise and fall of peak voltage of an ignition system. If not I will let you borrow mine (4 channel lab scope). The proof will finally set this to rest. Heat and electricity go hand and hand and its proven (I will show you) that by dropping the coil tempatures you will see more and cleaner rise and fall of your spark energy with the coil being cooler then it being hot. Not only does the coil have to work less but 85% of the radiant heat hitting the back side of the coil is reflected away due to the ceramic coating on the back of the coil heat shields. The EGT's are not affected in any measureable amount by installing the HS (air flow still gets back there) and if anything it will save your plug wires from cooking the strands in the wires from all the heat. Does it add power, no. Does it stop all the heat from hitting the coil and wires, yes.

Now one could argue that it does nothing when the car is sitting, I will agree to this. But 99% of us dont get in our cars to just sit. Take that for what its worth.
