You're lucky. Usually if the officer shows up, the judge doesn't look too kindly on you pulling one of their own off the street for your shitty little speeding ticket.
My shitty little speeding ticket was along with 10-15 SRT forum members shitty little speeding tickets.
I did not seopena anyone. He just showed up on his own accord from what I gathered, unless the Judge asked him to be there!
So heres a thought maybe he pulled himself off the street to come deal with my shitty little speeding ticket.
If the judge did say that, and since this was in a court room, the court reporter should have taken it down for public record. It can be referenced in the future to help get things thrown out.

I wasn't referring to your speeding ticket in my response to John. I meant it in a broader sense where a judge would be slightly annoyed at pulling a cop in a small town off the patrol to waste his time in a courtroom for something any less than a reckless offense. If you didn't subpoena him that's cool and that answers my question. No need to be shitty about it. If he just randomly showed up in court, maybe they don't have enough to do. Was he called as a witness or was he just chillin?

For future reference, there was a book written 30 yrs ago or so called 'The Ticket Book'. It was written by a former cop and tells you how to beat tickets in court. You can have your hearing rescheduled several times, I did this once with a ticket in Vancouver WA. I kept rescheduling until it was a Friday afternoon...the cop didn't show up to testify, the prosecutor didn't show up and the judge didn't show up! They had to take me to a different judge who threw out the case. It can be done...

I tried that King/Pierce county only allow a person one reschedule.
Sorry to hear you did not get your ticket dropped. I would apeal and have the attorney bring up the other tickets that were dropped as presidency (sp) I went to court Tuesday for a NO front licence plate ticket. I showed them that the RCW says 1-4 feet off the ground and mounted as I did was plainly visible and well with in all the rules of the RCW. Had pictures and everything. The Lady said I was right in every way and would reduce my ticket to $15. I said "excuse me" If I did nothing wrong why would I pay $15. She said more cops then not will give me the ticket again so I need to mount it to the front bumper like the rest of the world. If I didnt like it I could appeal the judgment. in a Higher court. I would have but it was a $38 ticket and I wasnt about to miss any more work over it. But before leaving I made sure to let the lady know she was like every other Women in the world When they are wrong they are still right! In your Case I would really fight it. The only way I can see you having to pay for that ticket is if the Cop actually got on the stand and lied by saying "yes I seen that guy in his 350Z and clocked him at ___MPH."

i wouldnt worry too much about this. if the judge were to arrest everyone if they gathered he would be violating a constitutional right to assemble. which is the 14th amendment. Now depending on the size of the group he could prob get you for not applying for a permit. But if you really want to stir shit up get about 9 people and do this more often. and if he does do what he said you could basically get him fired.
This sounds like a big shitty situation. The judge had no right to say that at all cause like above said right to assemble and technically that's discrimination too against a certain group.
