Default More Freakin Problems

Damn, It seems...I cannot escape problems with this car.
Alright some of you may recall the little issue I was having with the weird noise when I brake.. So I am getting some answers on that today.
Now, I have another issue... I am freaking leaving Wal-mart parking lot...
When this ass hole drops a can of paint right in front of my freakin car. Yeah.... yellow shit at that! So I stop hoping the can didnt open up all over my car... and so I dont have to open up a can of whoop ass on him. When I get around the front of the car, its cool but i notice the can is open... So I look on the side..... and what do I see? Fucking pale yellow paint all over my fucking car, underneathe just got creamed. So I rush home, to take this shit off. I am scrubbing the shit out of it, little by little it comes off..but not enough of it!

Anyone and I mean anyone knows a way of getting this paint off of my car? Most of it lies on the tailpipes and the undercarriage. I used some nail polish remover and it worked great, I am just afraid of using Paint thinner and ruinning my paint job. I am desperate for information on this subject, hook me up!

Since the paint is so fresh, maybe a real light rubbing compound on the painted surfaces that got hit, and on the metal surfaces try using a polishing cream or that Eagle 1 polishing rag stuff.

First off that sux, here are a couple things you might try...hopefully this is latex paint?

Latex doesnt like to stick to oil based paint and if your carefull you might be able to get under it with a razor blade and peel it off.(carefull!) Something that might minimize risk of dmg using this method is to use the plastic variety of scraper blades you can get at most parts stores.

Another thing to try is a product called SofScrub, or something like that, working a small area at a time. Go to a supermarket and look in the cleaning aisle for those sponges that are used for teflon pans. I can't think of the brand name, but they are two tone green. One side is course and the other is a like a regular sponge. Hot water will give better results than cold.

The trick is to find a chemical that will take the latex off and not the cars finish. Rubbing compound is a good choice. Work it on the paint until it starts to come off. You can try a hardware store for a latex paint remover. Test it, or any chemical you try, on a spot that can't be seen, like the underside of the hood. Mineral spirits may stain the finish and I would stay away from any solvents like lacquer thinner.

Good luck with that and may the rest of your days be filled with less idiots damaging your ride.

As for the rubbing compound be very careful or really know what you are doing. It can spider web the shit out of the car. not to mention the scratches and dullness

advised to look at some of the non-abrasive manners discussed

goo be gone might work. I have used it to get some stuff off and no damage to the paint.

sorry for the misfortune of the broad idiots that are in the world. Some need to be extracted from the gene pool..

goo gone is a solvent that will dull your paint. probably not the strongest stuff since its available to the public. just make sure to wax after using it.

I'd use a claybar on the spots the goo-gone won't get.

Alright guys... here is the outcome of eveything!

Crazy knocking noise when braking:
The said the problem was not there, until I went to the dealership and told them and point out the obvious noise. So they say my caliper was loose and was making the knocking sound. Umm, okay but I still think its the axle. So when I got there the car was sitting pretty (still with the yellow paint) and no more noise.

Paint Issue:
I bought a clay bar and cleaned the shit out of the car. the claybar worked very well. But there is still some areas it would not remove the paint. So now, I am going to have a bodyshop clear the rest. But I definatly recommend the claybar for paint issues as well as random scratches.

So far thats all I can come up with!
