Default Medford PD and Road Ragers

This is almost funny. On Saturday I had this guy from Florida (LIC # X03 JXD), pass me and lock up his breaks (skid marks STILL in the street). Now, I guess I somehow cut this guy off (didn't see him when I pulled out). This guy jumps out of his car and runs up to my door. Now mind you this is in downtown Medford on a 1 way street with 3 lanes. He is standing right beside my car so I can't pull around him. He starts go off on how I should drive better using colorful words. He then gets right up on my door and started yelling, "You want to go right now?" So I open my door and with my cell phone in hand and say "sure lets go, I'm on the phone with 911". He then starts to turn around to go back to his car. Wanting to make sure he puts in the last word or action he point his hand at me like a gun and goes "bang!?. So I tell 911 I need an officer here ASAP because this guy isn't stable, and what he has just done. We pull off the road and I get off the phone with 911. He gets out of his car again and now he is on the phone with 911. I thought it might be a good idea to start cell phone video recording him. After I get a video shot of his license plate I get back in my car and continue video recording. (Video to be posted on YOUTUBE shortly). After about 5 minutes the police finally show up. They get my license and then his....no problem right? Wrong. Medford Police officer 'Tom Venable' (and I use the term officer loosely) comes back to my car. He says 'Ok, we can do two things here. First I can arrest both of you, or you can be on your way.' I was a little shocked! "Officer, what are you going to arrest me for? I'm the victim of road rage here." 'I'm going to arrest both of you for disorderly conduct'. Anyway, long and short of this I got 'Officer' Tom Venable?s commanding officers name and number (No call from him yet). I called the general sergeant at Medford PD and he said "I still can be arrested, and officer ?Venable? was right". He went on to say that I could be arrested if I post the video for "Invasion of Privacy". I have been thinking that maybe I should go to the Medford Police department (and I use the term Police loosely) and say I changed my mind and now would like to be arrested for Disorderly Conduct!

If you have video and a phone call to 911 contact the OSP and speak to an investigator, tell him the entire truth and let it ride from there. Did the Medford police check for a weapon since you made a claim that he brandish it at you with the intent to commit bodily harm?

I live in Medford also, and have seen this a thousand times,.. from crack-heads mostly,.. maybe this guy was just suffering from small-penis-itis.. Dont ever ask the cops for help here, you're guilty until proven innocent.. The cops here suffer from government peon-itis, thinking they are better than everyone, but are not... I know a few of them, and they are above everyone! By the way, what kind of ride do you own, and do you come out to the strip?
