I'm cool on the fluid. Not sure about the Hawks though, from what i've seen they eat up the rotors pretty good. And I think I need more than the schucks pads. Gonna get some carbotechs. Thanks for the offers though!
I really need to get my oil changed before this.. and my car was overheating at the races on sat. I probably need coolant too. So much for my crossdrilled rotors
I switched the SRT over to Amsoil oil, oil filter, and ATF in the trans and it was like night and day. I was pretty pissed I hadn't done it earlier.
That with some Royal purple additive to the coolant, and a new thermostat would be great.
As for the rotors, I switched to the powersluts with HAWK pads and they were awesome.
I did all this shit like 2K miles before I sold it, fkin sucked. Should have done it day 1.
I might go, haven't decided yet. Dropped almost $200 this weekend driving down to Oregon for the PARC day (3 tanks of gas + $65 for karts + food). Then I have HPDE on May 16th (at least 3 tanks of gas). I need new brake pads before then (possibly rotors) and also need the $180 for the HPDE registration. I only get paid twice between now and the next HPDE, so with my other bills I may be eatin nothing but Top Ramen as it is...
So instead of going on a 'drive', how bout you fools step it up and meet me on the road course at PIR! You can go 130mph and take corners as fast as you can all day and it's legal
