I hope your kidding =P

the 87-93 mustangs were some of the finest to make fast in a straight line and a road course. Very strong bodies with not much weight and a decent 5.0 motor. The 87-92 motors were identical while the 93 lost a few horses due to different emissions standards. With minimal mods (gears, upper and lower intake/throttle body, and headers. They could easily make 260+ whp and run in the mid 13's for cheap.

Not to spilt hairs but I am pretty sure it was the way horsepower was measured that changed, not the motors. I have heard that the 93's will make more HP on a dyno than the ealier cars. This is an extremely common misconception due to the way the numbers are reported. I agree, the 5.0 Mustang particulary the last of the Fox bodies were nice performance oriented cars for the time.

That said, a stock LX 5.0 Mustang will get his ass handed to him by a stock SRT-4 straight line or in the curves. That is late 70's technology. Dollar for dollar of mod we beat them down into the low 12s. After that, the cubic inches and traction limitations catch up to us, but this guy sure ain't there.

More to the point I think I remember this guy at the picture day. All I can say is, what the fuck! You try to be nice and accept people into the group even if they don't drive the same car and this is the repayment. What a douche.

They are shit and 260 hp does not get them into the low 13's they are tanks they weigh so much! they are so ugly! If i had a dolar for every mustang i have eaten with either car of mine i have never been beet by any mustang even a 05 supercharged cobra (I was in my road runner) The reason i love dodge is because they love makeing horse power!

I could be right or wrong, but I originally thought the mustang was photoshopped in there..

Umm...as the "person" who drives a mustang that was there at the pic day...that sig's not mine...as it shows in my sig...I've got an '86, not a 92...and it's red...not blue...please try to verify before making comments like that please. I've got too much respect for the SRT-4 as I drive a neon as well.

Apologies!!! I remembered a stang at pic day and saw a guy with a stang abusing those pics so i made an assumption that was apparently not correct. I retract any and all statements comparing you to a feminine hygiene product.

Obviously, it was photoshopped, but I expect that guy is going to turn out to have some connection to the board or one of us.

Apology accepted You never know...it may be just some random browser of the forums that saw the image and yanked it.

The Smoke is photoshoped into the picture as well. I think the best part is he either has one tinted windo or he's got his window rolled down either way typical guy who thinks we care about being front wheel drive.

The funny part is that the guy more than likely couldn't control a straight launch with his stang as well...probably pound the pedal and find out how quick the rear can go sideways
