correct they do not have to show you the radar (for their own safety)but they do have to prove they had perfect sight of the vehicle they are radaring. obviously if they pulled over 15 cars and some got away and they were moving at 91mph I would have to consider it dense traffic and in that case radar is usually not accurate. Thats why in dense traffic weekends like this up coming memorial day weekend they use aircraft. they just have 6 cops sit on the side of I-5 and pull over the cars the pilot tells them too. They use the markers on the side of the road along with stop watches to calibrate each vehicles speed.

For anyone planning on fighting it them selves I would subpeona everyone name that was mentioned in the newspaper article. Use it against them. If anyone doesnt show up you ask for the case to be dismissed.

When it's all said and done, you guys should hold a press conference to point out that you got off thanks to the effectiveness of the judicial system

I think she is but they do have to prove to you that they used a SMD to measure your speed. When you go to SMD class you have to be with in 2 to 3 MPH of a cars average speed before you qualify and get the SMD certificate. There are several things you need to take into consideration like tangent angle to the gun, time across the angle and the most important time that SMD device had a lock. Those are the most critical items to make a ticket stick. There are a few other secrects but you bound by law not to talk about those when you complete the class.

Getting off the tickets will be very easy.
