Thumbs up James' May 2008 HPDE Pics thread

As crossposted from the Aqua Velva site.....

Hey guys. I got the HPDE pics finished up and posted online for all to see. I tried to keep things fair and balanced (like FOX News LOL) by offering an even number of pics for everyone who was present. The exception was the chicane action: Chris went into the chicane so that warranted extra pics, and I was too hot and tired to hang out for pics of JR in the chicane. Like I said, fair and balanced!

So, some finer details. The images posted on Flickr have a watermark on the bottom with my email address. If you want printed photos, or if you contact me directly and ask, it won't have a watermark.
I offer my pics under the Creative Commons license, which means that anyone can do what they want with them as long as it's non-profit and you let me know. Since the trip to this HPDE cost me over $150 out of pocket for fuel and lodging, and about 15 hours of my time driving, taking pics and post-processing, I figure it's fair to leave the watermark on the images that are intended for widespread distribution (teh Internets). I just ask that you don't crop out the watermark or post a non-watermarked version somewhere without mentioning me.

If you want printed pics, you can ask me for a high-res version and you can go about it on your own, or I can put them up on Snapfish and you can order the images in whatever format you want (prints of varying sizes, coffee mugs, mouse pads, magnets, calendars, etc) at cost..I don't see anything for it.

So, lemmie know what comments you have since your feedback will allow me to become better at what I do.

Thx guys!

Edit: Added three pics of the back straight I found.

Oh and some of the pics are kind of over-sharpened by my image processing tool. The high res and printed versions look better, FYI.

the "fro-g - ima pimp - O~Shit power slide/drift into the festival curve" pic is awesome. I seen the slide from the other side, in the stands. great work James!

Note the daylight under his rear tire! I had a conversation with him regarding in the paddock and he said our cars don't get enough speed to lift the rear tire or some such. I have photographic proof now lol.

Im gonna stop going to these things ... no one ever takes pics of my car on the track ... I only have one picture of me on PIR at a TC event. It was taken by the one guy last year.

Those are the only ones I have since I only saw you out there for the track ride.

Oh and as mentioned before there are 1024x768 (or thereabouts) versions of these pics on my Flickr page in the top link.
