Default Emissions / Stage 3

Anyone running a stage 3 setup had to go through emissions in Washington yet? Wondering if they are passing or if I have to buy a code scrubber or anything. I've heard of people passing without the scrubber but also not passing without it.

if you have engine codes you probably won't pass.... and you should get them fixed anyways. If the stage3 is working properly and everything is installed correctly you should have no codes.

you will always have a code with stage 3. Same code that comes with every staged ecu. Some states freak out but washington does not.

P0633

They all throw it. It wont cause an engine light to appear, you have to manually look for it. Its just a code but alot of the inspection points on east coast fail for any code. Washington only fails for codes dealing emmisions. Same ECU used in PT cruiser. Its looking for the autotranny. Reason the code scrubber was invented by N2MB

Actually.....not completely true. The P0633 refers to SKIM data storage in the PCM. You can use the Chrysler/Dodge/Fiat/whatever we got goin now scan tool to program the SKIM, thus eliminating the code.

Not sure if Flight Systems did anything special to my S3 PCM when they programmed my VIN into it, but I don't throw any codes at all, checking both with the key trick and the scan gauge. Pretty sure I have to go through emissions this year as well, will let you know what happens....

^ what he said.

I had Jay use his magic powers and inappropriately touch my stage 3 ecu before he left for the great state of cubans and cocaine. as such the only codes I see are for the lack of auto trans presence.

I know it can be removed, surprised yours didnt have it. Wonder if its a something flight systems is doing now.

I am mistaken, it used to come with every staged ecu, the times they are a changin.
