Pretty good day even if my best ET was a crappy 13.06 @ 116.4 MPH. My 60' times ALL stank ranging from 2.6 to 2.3...I either need slicks or someone else to drive my car...or both! After the 116 MPH pass my stock clutch was stinking to high heaven, but luck was a lady today. Three times my opponent red lit and in the semis my SAFC cable got caught on the gas pedal and came unplugged! When I let out the clutch it died, but the big red bulb shined in the other lane! Last run I found the problem and plugged it back in but had to give my opponent a 4 sec. head start, while running him down I forced him to break out by .2! After 30 yrs of racing at Woodburn I won my first race, last trophy was runner up at the 1979 Coca Cola Drags... LXForums : Mopar Nationals Woodburn 2008 - Mini Hemi
Congrats on the first place trophy! Now you just need a new clutch and slicks and 11.99's will be close with that 116mph. I think erich ran 12.2's all night at around 113-114mph using my old slicks.
come up to portland once you get your clutch and you can borrow my slicks. Can't remember if you have co's or not. you will need them to clear.
Thanx for the offer Erich, alas no co's...the clutch goes in on Thursday but I've got 500-1K of easy break in to go on the South Bend... added vid clip from my pals at LX forums... LXForums : Mopar Nationals Woodburn 2008 - Mini Hemi
not my best run but not my worst either...
