Uhh, would 44 Caliber work better than 44 Magnum? How about "my fo' fo' makes sure all ya'll kids don't grow."
How about "4 inches...because we can." Or "Caliber sewer system"...something about a toilet never clogging might be funny...I have no clue. I need to quit asking the guy in my office for ideas.
LOL that was funny, thanks.
I have to agree with the 44 Caliber kit, that sounds good and fits the car, no pun intended.
Does it sound better than what you had on there for the Portland drive? That exhaust sounded kind of funny in a ricer sort of way. Wasn't expecting it to sound like that at all.
Its the bore and strock of the motor. I way more square then the SRT4N and very Honda like. The new exhaust way louder under boost and sounds great at idle. Getting rid of the "ricer" sound is going to be very tough with this car. Its the design of the motor and looks like we will be stuck with it.
...hum what about "the stacker" kinda like stacks on diesels ya now? how hey use big tubing like 4"s.....
...Maybe "BFT kit" "big fucking tube kit"????
what about something referencing a jet plane? like the f14 kit or something.......
..you know in short circuit how the robot calls itselft johnny 5? and your name being john...maybe the "johnny 4".....
Thats a good idea... hmm more to think about. Thanks guys for all the input on this.
the caliber does sound alot diffrent when i heard you drive by the other day john, kinda ricer but maybe the 4 inch will make is sound not so hondaish
I wish that were the case, its now more hondish then it was before. At idle its sounds way better but up top and under boost.... all honda. I have tried 3 different mufflers now and they all sound similar. Damn DCX for there new motor design.
So I wasn't just hearing things then! Hmmm, I wonder what could help it sound not so ricer... I guess as long as you can smoke the ricers it don't matter
so just a question, but is this a turboback 4",catback 4", or axleback 4"? Seems a little overkill for the tiny caliber turbo. The intake sounds like a good idea though.

The DP/o2 housing is 3.5 inches then after the flex section it's 4 inches. It is a bit much but... there are going to be many running bigger turbos on these cars soon enough so its there for them as well. The gains are considerable over the 3 inch system that was on the car (comes from the factory with the 3 inch system). Here are some pictures so you can see what the system looks like.

We are going to try 2 mufflers in the system and see if that quiets things down a bit. If not, I don't know what to do about it. I guess its like the WRX sound, no matter what muffler you put on those cars you still get that Subie sound. I guess they were shooting for a "one type" of sound with the SRT4C as well.

true, but equal length headers shut up the boxer rumble and make it sound ricey.
