Default 3" See

So uhh yeah, I am looking to pick up a 3" SEE ........how hard is it to drop the exhaust and has anyone heard one up close and personal??? I haven't spent to much time with it up on a lift to really look at the nitty gritty but i cant imagine that its too dificult..........and are they just obnoxiously loud or what..........

If using a lift, it is actually quite easy to swap the exhaust. Hardest part is the O2 housing (only if you plan on chainging it). I have the 3inch MaxxFab SEE w/ cat & resonator. I'll take ya for a spin if you want to check it out. W/O the resonator, it may be obnoxiously loud, but I believe the setup i have is perfect. No resonance or drone at any speed really, and it kicks up a couple notches at WOT. Only been pulled over for it once by some rich cop in Bellevue. And that is because I was going up a 45 degree or greater hill in second trying not to speed in front of him

and this one is no cat or resonator, basically a straight pipe......a catted dp should take care of that, no?/ and i can prolly toss a resonator on it if its too obnoxious i imagine

Straight through is pretty loud from what I understand. The cat will take care of some of the popping, but you will want a resonator to eliminate the drone you would hear on the freeway...... However, w/o a cat or resonator you will be able to shoot some pretty good size flames!

I just gotta say it.... you get better gains out of a 3" under axle single exit with no bends. Buy a downpipe then have any exhaust shop make you the straight pipe. You will probably spend less than the side exit and you have the option of a straight through muffler. The 90degree bend in the SEE kills the flow of the system. Interestingly, the underaxle setup drags less on speed bumps, driveways, etc.

Well, my .02 is to get the 3 in o2. It's not necessarily for big turbos and it will help flow a lot better. You're system is only as good as it's smallest size, especially if it's your o2.

yeah, people have reported gains of up to 10whp on stock turbo. 10 whp for like $140... $14/hp isn't bad at all

Depends on how soon you do your deal. I'm planning on rolling up to Washinton next month to get some parts thrown on my car, and I'm installing a maxxfab 3 in o2 and a 3 in SEE no cat/no res on friday. But I don't know how far away auburn is from covington either.

You could probably contact PT or any exhaust shop and have made whatever you want. If you decide to buy a 3" SEE from the forums. We can use a lift to install.

I wish I had a lift. It's going to be a bitch using jack stands or ramps.
