Default Black Paint

I have a 2004 srt.... BLACK in color. Been a 04, black, and always been parked out in the sun, the paint isn't all that nice looking anymore. Is their anything I could do to bring that deep dark luster back without having to pay a proffesional to polish it? I mean this car has swirl marks, spider something or other, scratches(superficial ones that is). Anything you could suggest I would appreciate. Thanks.

Hello Lopez,

I too have a black vehicle and i feel your pain. It is the hardest color to keep clean and swirl free. However, when it is looking its best, you can't beat black!

Depending on how severe your swirls/spider-webbing are, you most likely need a polisher to easily remove them for your paint. You can probably reduce them by 50% or so if you did some polishing by hand.

First off I would recommend watching our instructional videos from start to finish: Car Wax, Car Polish, Auto Detail Supplies - Instructional Videos. The video will show you how to remove the swirls and get your black SRT looking good again. After you have finished watching the videos, please feel free to ask us any specific questions the videos did not answer.

Thanks and please let us know if we help additionally!

-Dale

Invest in an orbital buffer and buy some polishes and a clay bar kit then spend some time reading how to do use it all and your car will look better than when you first got it.

I washed and clayed the car yesterday and let me tell you... DAMN what a difference the clay made on it's own. Next week I'll have a little more time to use a swirl remover and then wax it. I'll probably stop by Adam's and pick some up since it's in torrance. Thanks guys.

*EDIT* Scratch that. Internet sales only, so I'll most likely give them a call or head over to Line-X
in Santa Fe Springs.
