Default Turbo Newb Question - TT or EBC?

I just got my SRT and know that I need a turbo timer. However, I thought that I read somewhere a boost controller will also function as a tt. So, having both is redundant.

True/false?

you dont need a turbo timer, especially with a water cooled turbo and synthetic oil. Just let your car idle/cool down after spirited driving before shutting it off.

If you really want one then you can get one.

EBC's normally dont have a TT function, but maybe some do?

So, you don't think it's a necessity, it's just important to let it cool a little after I've been pushin it?

thanks for the info. I did talk some other local guys who informed me that it isn't as much a necessity because our turbos are water cooled, not oil cooled, and if you just let it sit for 20 seconds (like the other dude above) then it's all good.
