Default DTEC BC Clicking Solenoid

So I woke up this morning to find the boost solenoid from the DTEC BC clicking. It sounded like a relay clicking on and off. This was happening while the car was not running.

It boosted fine a few days ago.

On the way to work I got on it a few times and it boosted normal.

Is this anything to worry about?

i think i figured it out.

a while back i noticed the the map sensor reading was showing almost -1 PSI of boost when the car was off. I did some reading in the DTEC manual and found a setting that you can use to calibrate the sensor. Basically you're telling it where zero is. I had added 1.2PSI of correction to get the map reading to be 0 when the car was off.

I noticed tonight that my map reading was bouncing around between +.2psi and +.6psi with the car off. This was enough to trigger the solenoid to go to 99% duty cycle, but then when the pressure would drop it would go to 0% duty. That was what was making the clicking.

For the time being i've zeroed out the correction factor, which has my map reading about -.4psi or so with the car off.

this explains why the car drove fine, because with the car running it was pulling vacuum.

i'll follow up in the morning and make sure this fixed it, but i'm pretty confident after looking through the DTEC settings and gauges that i've found the problem.
