Default Best way to get traction

I've been looking at getting a TCS for my car, what is better for traction a electronic product like the one from NDE, or a electronic boost controller that controls boost by gear.

Buy a RWD car or get slicks. Only way you will get the best traction in a front wheel drive car.

best way to get traction:
dont floor the gas pedal
lower boost
get slicks
or
sell the car for AWD

sorry just had to be a smartass on that one

i'm sorry, I guess my question was stupied I thought this was a SRT forum so i figured other people had similer issues, but it sounds like TCS dont work. I've been doing my own research and I was thinking of buying APEXI AVC-R BLUE ELECTRONIC BOOST CONTROLLER to help with my traction problem. Is there a better boost controller if so why?

Unless you have a 2003 or very early model 2004 SRT-4 you shouldn't snap the axles. I have been running slicks for over and year and racing for 3 years now and still nothing wrong with my axles. LOL.

The mid-late 2004's and all the 2005's came with better axles that do not break as easily. The 03's and early 04's came with weaker ones that did tend to snap.

Slicks or DR's are the best way to go for traction at the race track. The other stuff will help as well but better tires should be your first mod for traction if you are going to the track. If you are on the street then maybe DOT legal DRs.

Boost by gear is also a good option but the TCS is another good option. Plus they will be coming out with an EBC function that will limit boost by mph. So if you are going 10 mph you can set the TCS to only provide like 5 psi, 25 mph you can set for 10 psi, and so on until you get to full boost.

traction bars doesnt give you traction, it just plants the tires better so you dont get wheel hop.

an electronic boost controller is WAY better than a TCS...IMO

i rather have lower boost than pull 20-30* of timing to aid in traction, any day.

an EBC just kindof sucks w/ stock turbo tho...but is a mans best ffriend to the big turbo world.

i need to make a better how-to for the avcr.

as long as i dont pop the clutch, i have traction in 1st-3rd w/o a hitch. that is w/ 400+hp...

I have a late model 2004 with S3R kit and some other goodies. I have been thinking slicks, thanks for the input on the axles. does the avcr have boost by mph,

this is my first turbo car i came from the trans-am world of V8 RWD.

it does boost by rpm and boost by gear.

also has a auto learn function, and can effectly increase spool time or decrease it (per gear) to aid in power or traction...
