Default Best Boost Controller

I have an 05 SRT-4 and boost up to around 22-23 pounds. I have the turbo x's dual stage boost controller but i am looking to get a new one now because i think it is starting to go bad. What is the best boost controller for the SRT-4? I have heard a lot of good things about the aem tru boost?

Needing specifically a EBC or or is a manual fine?

For manual the ones from Halman have an excellent reputation.

For EBC its seems like the AVC-R, Eboost2 and the HKS VI are the ones to get.

If anything the issue with EBC's I think is properly setting them up.......but that's with any car not just the SRT-4. A manual boost controller will help you to raise boost with some control but the EBC does this is a manner that allows for more precise control because they use a PWM solenoid.

Not saying that because I did not mention it in particular, its just based on my research in buying a EBC that I found that the AVC-R, Eboost2 and the HKS VI seemed to be the ones getting the most respect.

There's pro's and cons that I do not think I could be authoritative on explaining. I picked the AVC-R. The Eboost is a round gauge and IMO looks/fits in better with things. The HKS seems to be what the real EBC gurus like. Then there's the Prologger that is more then a EBC........

I guess it would be fair to say that if you are not up to playing around with something in order to get the most out of it then make sure what you do pick is easy to setup.......some of the EBC can be challenging in getting things right = might be why some EBC's get a bad rap by some people.

I had the AEM truboost, but for me it was not very consistent. I recently put on the Turbonetics manual billet boost controller that AGP sells. I am much happier with this MBC. Very easy to adjust and the detents are really nice.

i have not personally used the tru boost..but most people who do have it set properly have trouble over shooting there target boost level..the hks evc series of ebc's have great reviews..on my old mr2 turbo i used a blitz dual solenoid ebc and it worked flawlessly..the avcr is also a good choice, as mentioned above, though tend to be difficult to set up if not familiar with it..try researching the gizzmo ms-ibc...very simple to use...

i tried the eboost2...very good one
but
the size is not exactly standard...mine was placed in the stock gage pod...the gage is around 1/8 bigger so to place it there is a bit hard

when i had one i mad a small setup to boost only when at wot and change boost per gear...but it is a small project in itself

now i have the avcr i prefer this one because of the boost per gear fonction and the setpoint are easyer to see because of the screen type and you can easely hide the display in the glove box
