i have the blitz dual SBC($280) unit and it works awesome, easy to use, and is the cheapest well performing EBC on the market.

well i have AVC-R..
love being able to control boost per gear but so hard to keep boost steady.. bounces up and down.. been playin with duty cycle per rpm to keep boost smooth but hard..

i seen a EBC - boost seleniod for sale on a site to replace either stock seleniod or a aftermarket EBC's seleniod. its suppose to response faster work better.. Do you think that would smooth boost level? My MBC hold boost right at what I set it..

Sounds like you need to adjust the gain on it.

you need to raise the gain in your boost settings then go to the gear settings and adjust from there. i had the same problem when i first got it. car runs like a champ now
