are both of the wires black?
i havent hooked up a turbo xs boost controller, but on many other solenoids it doesnt matter which wire is hot or ground as long as current passes through the solenoid, you can test it out on your battery if both wires are the same color

one is pruple and the other is green. just dont want to fry somethin if i hooked it up wrong.

so im assuming the green would get grounded and the purple would go to the switch. and then hook a hot wire to the switch???
