Default My Hybrid Project

First off here's a link to the full thread:

Stage 2/Stage 3/ Evo Hybrid Project

It basically consists of a s3 manifold mated to a evo 8 16g6 turbo. The thread above shows the full walk through of how it all works, my modlist, and recently my last dyno.
I'll give you the short and sweet version of the car.

Definate Future Mods:
Drag Radials for the street

Possible Future mods:
62mm TB
B&G Reflash
Welfare Sways and Tension Bars
Rage LCA Bushings
Traction Controll

Dyno Graph:

Car is boosting 22-23psi on 91 pump + meth falling to 21@redline. I still need to tune it in a little more but my scan gauge just busted. The crane 14's and our oil restrictor will be going in as soon as the gauge is fixed and i'll be dyno tuning it. The goal is 400whp on pump + meth, and 430whp on a race gas tune. A 62mm TB is really the only other important bolt-on the car doesn't have so i may look into one if the cams/gears/oil restrictor don't get me to my goal.

I have been asked a few times now if i'd ever plan on offering this kit, but getting the s3 manifold's is pretty much out of the question to do it. If you can supply the turbo/manifold we can make anything happen for you. An evo 9 16g6 should show gains close to 20whp over the evo 8 i have. Also making it externally gated would probably net close to another 20whp on top of that. Either turbo can be upgraded to a 20g wheel(44lb) to make even more power. Maxing a setup like this out would be somewhere around 460-470whp on race gas with all the fixings. At that point the head is too much of a restriction and the turbo starts to run out of breath. However, that much power in a FWD car is more than enough to tickle your fancy. With a built motor, some squeeze can be added to put that beast into the 10's.
Anyways, i'm just adding this here incase anyone wants to know what our cars are like here at FTP-Racing.
Jason and i will be going for low 11's in december, and then next year 10's for his car. 9's are the ultimate goal for Jasons ride, but it is going to take alot of work to get there. Feel free to ask questions.

i agree with ya, wish s3 manifolds were easier to get a hold of. i was almost thinking of grabing a agp log mani, exhaust flange for a t3/t4 and a evo exhaust flange 9 weld em together to create a custom plate ) and bolt the entire evo turbo to that. then of course that would require the use of the evo 02 housing and a custom downpipe.. a hell of a lot more work...
