Arrow FTP T-BARS hitting the cradle. is this the "CLUNK" we hear?

well mine is not the sway bar mine is this

n here

once on the floor this is where it hits since its like a hair from touchin. THE RIDE SEAMED MORE STIFFER BUT ITS CUZ IT WAS ACTUALLY RESTING THERE n made it not bounce like it use to.

BUT, i added these washers from the old ones in in order to lower the middle part from the crossmember(note how the plates from the crossmember are allready bented a little) n now its not a stiff as before, but on a bump i get a clunk n i think its because it hits on the same place still.

NOW with the washers i think the bars r not tight as before n theres no more space to tighten them. WHAT HAPPENS IF WE PUT EM IN THE REAR HOLES FROM THE CROSSMEMBER?

EXTRA PIC;

ANOTHER PIC TO LOOK AT:HERE I HAVE THE WASHERS AS SPACERS SO IT DOESNT HIT, YET STILL WITH A BUMP I CAN HEAR THE CLUNK WHERE IT STILL HITS
WITHOUT THE WASHERS I WOULDNT HEAR A CLUNK BUT I THINK IS CUZ THE BARS WERE ACTUALLY ALLREADY RESTING OR RUBBING N WHEN ON A BUMP IT WAS JUST A STIFF RIDE(SEEMED N FELT COOL) BUT I DONT KNOW IF ON A HARD ASS BUMP SOMETHING WOULD BREAK:eeeek

if the plates from the crossmember wouldnt have bented, maybe the tbar woulnt have rubbed(or rest at the cradle) but i would still have had the clunks after a bump?

as far as I can tell it looks like the car sits pretty low which in turn raises the lower controll arm . that is most likely why there is a clearance issue between the bar and the cradle . we try to make these so that they will fit on any car but it is hard to anticipatle little problems like this when every's car is just a little different . what you might try doing is adding a spacer or a couple of washers between the top insert on the t-bar and the endlink bushing washer this should help to space them out from the cradle a little bit

i didnt want to add a spacer to the endlink part cuz im afraid itll start hitting on stuff at the streets(i see dirt roads every once in a while)

but what i did was this: move them to the rear holes n added a bar so the plates at the cross member wouldnt twist as u can see with the front part.

it was late allready n tried it out for a little n from what i observed was that i think i dont get the clunk anymore. and burnt less tire, more hookup. still a little hop at launch but much less than without em.

works good in the hole from the back, now i just hope the plates dont come off lol

PPL and TONY WHAT DO U all THINK? u think its still better to have them on the front holes? with the front holes there wasnt much pretension available as now but u do gotta becarefull not to over do it
