Oh great we need the GOVT and the religious right to make and enforce morals. If its not written in stone things are fair game.........no need to do the right thing based on whats inside of our souls........no wonder the rest of the world looks at us like big shit heads and the older generation thinks we are a bunch of shits for ruining whats been worked hard for.

It seems that theres less and less of an importance in the value of hard work and how we measure ourselves by what we do.

I doubt the 6061 solid stock i use is any different from dcr's . I dont know why everyone assumes my product is inferior to his . mine is cnc machined just the same as his is I'm shure . I like how based on a product I sell people can pretend to know what kind of person I am , what kind of buisnees I run , what sort of things might be going on in my life . the only thing anyone knows for shure here is that I sell an oil restrictor . dont fool your selves into thinking you know who I am or what my moral compas is

Moral compass can be easily gleamed by whats said and whats been done. With probably the exception of the Gates and Rockefellers in this world when death comes people look and remember deeds not money.....even family members. You can die a poor mechanic and have people smile when thinking about you and how you lived your life.

Whats sometimes lost for some is that for the most part mis deeds can define a persons life quicker and be on the forefront of peoples minds if the good stuff is not there to stand out and shine brighter.

People generally understand where the high ground is and know that laws do not need to have been broken to define something as wrong

Obviously you're going to keep heading south instead of north because north requires more effort, hence work to get to.

Wow wonder if Mike from Dc motorsports got this when he was making the motormounts, and bwoody performance, and boomba, and etc.... I have studied enough business law to know that this happens all the time in America if not the world.
Does it make it right?....well no, but to protect yourself that is why you get a patent on your design before you release it, do a certain design on it that makes it have a uniqueness to it to make it yours, put a logo on it, something. Protect yourself. Never think that the people of this world will, have morals and integrity and respect others and their deisgns and not try to make an easy dollar. I have no side in this except the fact that $h!t happens, especially if your not careful.

Dude this method has been used by engine builders for over 20 years if not longer.

Also you sell turbo kits now does that mean you copied AGP cause they sell turbo kits?

I guess your the only one allowed to sell oil pumps also?

Oh wait YOU wernt the one to come up with the 2.6 stroker kit orignaly also now were ya but you sell that now and take all the credit.

Thats interesting for YOU to say that since last i heard a lil while back you were getting sued by the guy that used to make your auto trannys for you "back before they blew up all the time" cause you took his design and then using HIS design and work to start making yours using his part designs. Did you ever figure out that converter i know you had alot of problems with that not only in your car but on red sled and couple other auto's you sold.

I have never bought anything from FTP for the record. But there is no differance in what you just did to this thread and what PTP used to do to your threads.

ragetek. nice

DCR is beating a dead horse. someone copied his design and is selling it for cheaper. is it morally the best route? no. is it capitalistic competition to undercut your competition? yes.

FTP is in no wrong really unless DCR had a patent

this, as said by dan, is no different than PTP cutting ideas from DCR. DCR cutting ideas from Ragetek.

slowboy made up the bottleneck fix in the 2gn market, and DCR copied and distributes/sells these. should slowboy throw a bitchfit and claim his fame and say DCR copied him? no.

Speak for yourself. You are the fucking moron to even do this. I know for a fact Darrell first posted the modifer and he mentioned in the first post it was patent pending. Patented/copyrighted - same meaning behind it. I can promise you this - Darrell is a smart man, and he will win and you will lose in this battle. I strongly urge you to drop this and pull this from your store otherwise the loss will be much greater for you.

My piece of the pie.

It's one thing to use a similar design in a product, i.e. motor mounts, turbo kits, stroker kits, ect..... But it is another thing to copy a product that was a fix for MANY people that were having the notorious 6500 rmp stumble when using a standalone to raise the rev limiter. Nobody could figure it out but Darrell, due to his extensive knowledge on the 2.4L. In fact, he knew the problem before it was a problem.

As for FTP selling this product for an extra few pennies is just retarded. Does it make him a bad guy, or even a bad business man? Probably not, so bashing the guy will get you no where in my book. However it is pretty fucked up morally.
