JK but not a bad thought

Well if its not much trouble and secure in its location why not sell it for a small fee? I mean you cant get rich off of it unless alot of people buy. With all the crap done to my car and others that have done to theres its not a bad idea honestly....you just never know. Although I always have oil, antifreeze, vaccume lines, fuel lines, bolts of different sizes, etc in my car at all times.....after all it is a neon

I'm glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
Getting the door open at more than 40mph is no joke.
But I'm curious why you decided on these particular lines over more conventional braided stainless?

Also, the picture showing the fire extinguisher mounted to the center console seems like a good idea, but how does it detach it in an emergency? Wouldn't a 3-point Halon system in the engine compartment, cabin and trunk be a beter idea, albeit more expensive.

I wondered the same thing over the braided...I would think they are better. Thats a good question about detachment. Halon system would have worked well in my friends 240 last weekend. Not sure why, but after getting on it his car caught on fire...couldnt get it out and it melted alot of stuff after loads of dirt was put on it.

it just slides into the rings it is pretty tight. I wanted to use 1 ring and spot weld a band clamp on but I didn't have one and I wanted it done so I made a 2nd ring. I have braked heavy from 50mph and it didn't slide one bit. It should have a prong at the top too might do that but for now it is just fine

Since I was redoing my fuel sometime and I have heard of electric shorts in the steering column. I told my secret santa I wanted one and WHAM santa came through. No Halon sys in my future still trying to save for a damn turbo upgrade

wow same thing happened to my 1st gen, i was racing a CRX and people were honking at me and i look at my oil pressur egauge and no oil pressure!!!! i imediatley pulled over and got out thankfully i had a small fire extinguisher in the car and still didnt put it out so i got a neighbor nearby to get a big red one that put it out. SAFETY first guys , so what who cares how it loooks in the car, it could save your life or yours cars life anyday!!!! on a blessed note my motor was not touched due to a ruptured oil line, my wideband wires were melted 2gether thought but it still works, lol that was all the damage i had and had her runnnig the next day or so. be safe and have a fire extinguisher handy in your car, just not worth it to not have one...

Default Pixs

Here are the pixs of the car. Didn't see any damage from fire anywhere. Must of just been a few sparks. I just want to make this clear to the Bandwagoners and haters that Tony "Didn't" install the kit and wasn't his fault!!!

Its fucked up how some people on here jump on shit like flys when someone has an issue with there car and automatically blame and attack the vendor without having all the facts! You mofos try to give a Good Vendor a bad rep. Sucks what this place is turning into

hey thats my engine bay!! haha. if you look on the back of the SRT-4 ignition heat shield then you will see some scorch marks. i was not worried about the fire. i was more worried about the car not having any oil

and tony has been awesome about the whole thing. it was not his fault. it was a failed part that could of happened to anyone! he is being extreemly understanding and helpful! and if i didn't trust him my car wouldnt be in his possession right now along with alot of other parts for another vehicle

possibly cleaned the bay up after it happened? just asking cause of the way the valve cover lettering is. 2 thumbs up for a vendor helping out where others would have shoved it under a carpet.

yes that was like that from before. i was pissed that my powdercoating chipped off, but that was from like 2 months ago. i am going to get a new valve cover (maybe a stock plain one)

and yes i spent ALOT of time cleaning up that engine bay since there was 7 quarts of oil that was pissing all over it. (removed balance shafts = 8qts)

Hey bro, I'm just pissed at how some people on here have jumped on your issue and trying to give FTP a bad name and saying the opposite of what you're saying about TOny and FTP in general. Glad your car survived and should be running strong soon.
