Cam gears not hear yet

Hey guys would it be worth installing the cams without the cam gears??? I ordered them from slowboy racing last week but the haven't arrived yet and i'm supposed to go down tomorrow.

I would prefer to do the cams and gears at one time but its up to you the car should run ok with the cams installed straight up
