Default Not All Defrost Buttons R Created Equal

I don't no if anyone else had this problem with the defrost button LED. To start off though, the LED are freakin' awsome. They look great at night and I am now my friends envy. But... by Vamps illustration in the directions to install, the base appears to be the same as the base for the HVAC bulbs, this may be true for some but not for all. The base on my defrost was at least
1/2" wich made the wires on the LED to short to wrap around the base much less to bend the light forward ( if you purchased the defrost kit you know what I mean). Not a big deal, I just took the base and ground it down and fit the bulb through, but it still wasn't enough to bend the LED forward. With all this aside, it does look good though. At night cruising down the Blvd, the interior looks good with all my gauges matching my Apexi Neo. It really tied in the interior. Vamp just wanted to drop this thread. Like I said, maybe there are many the way you describe, and maybe there are few like mine. Two more things. First, my car is a 2004 model SRT-4, second, on the bottom when I took the switch out there is a hole where I can remove the bulb with out having to dissasemble the whole switch. Just thought I'd share.

I'm not trying to discorage anyone from buying the kit, I love it. The mod I did was no big deal. I looking to purchasing more items from Vamp. In the futrue i.e., the retrofit, map and dome lights and etc.

05s have the shorter base.

04 and below have the longer base. You just have to cut it in 1/2 (if not more) and you are ready to go! You need to leave yourself some room to point it so leave some of the LED out of the base when wrapping it on the base.

I have since added this to my instructions.
