[ Completed Transaction ] = Map, Dome & License Plate Lights

I placed an order for the map, dome & license plate light on 1 May 08. I received it on 15 May 08. Here are some pictures:



^ As you can see, it was shipped in an envelope that has internal bubble wrap ensuring that the lights do not get crushed.

The map lights are quite bright. I noticed that the pass. side of the cabin is lit fairly well. The license plate light is also bright and very noticeable from far away, which I'm not sure is a good thing. =)

One question I had though is about the dome light. When the car is off, I notice that it is somewhat still lit. A very slight hint of light is coming out of it. You dont notice it during the daytime but in the evening you can see it. It doesnt bother me nor does it hinder driving in any way. I just thought that it was weird for it to be on even when the vehicle is off.

Overall, the installation of the LED's are easy. It took me about three minutes to take off the OEM bulbs from the map light because of the lack of space.

Yes it takes little power to turn the LEDS of the dome lights on. So aparently there is still some power going through the dome area while the car is off. So what you get is.. the stock light doesnt light up because it needs more power to light up and the LED needs little and it stays on a bit, but wont hurt the overall life of the dome. If the dome ever freaks out or die, just PM and I can have my supplier replace it. =)
