Wrong Forum but something that I has been bothering me.
So as many of you already know my wife has cancer. Well she went out last night to pick up some wine b/c we were spending some needed alone time while the kid was alseep. Well she is done with the chemotherapy part of this and is just starting to get her hair back. So it's like an inch and a half. She has started to stop wearing her wig b/c there is hair there and you have to do it eventually. Well she went up to the local 7-11 and according to her there were some young teenagers in a car outside who she overheard calling here a dyke. Well I would be pretty lucky if my wife WAS a dyke, and I have been barking up that tree for a long time. But it made here very upset and when she told me I was wise enough to go next door instead of driving up there b/c this 7-11 is a block from my house and the only place you can buy anything within 10 miles. All the cashiers know me, and everyone else who comes in there so I knew god damn well they could tell me who it was. Anyway, the cashier was not forthcoming with information and to be honest It's prob best that I don't know. So the moral of the story is when you talk shit about people you don't always know what is going on in their life. She does not deserve that shit, she has been through more than enough. And this shit isn't over from a long shot. (the cancer) I weigh over 225lbs and I'm not fat by any streach of the imagination and I swear that If I can ever put my hands on the people that said that to her I am not sure I would not kill them.
However, (and I know mana4real is going to jump in) I'm just going to stop thinking about it b/c it's not practical at all to do anything about it.

Anyways, I am really sorry to hear that. Sometimes kids are kids and they don't know any better. You can't do anything about what the kids said to your wife, but what you can do is be supportive and be there for her. That's something you can do. Not only that, but it's the positive and productive thing to do
The half owner of the company I work for has been fighting cancer for the past four years. He died this morning. I don't have any details yet. Him and my father are the only two people I know personally that didn't make it. Lets hope that your wife does. I believe I have a little more information on this then others, but I know you told me she is doing better. So wish you, your wife, and your child the best. I want to chalk one up for the people that made it
Very sorry to hear that. Nobody deserves to be spoke about like that at all. Its unfortunate that kids these days do not have any respect for others. They just do it to be "cool" in there friends eyes. I swear it makes you want to just strangle them!
I have gone through the cancer issue with not a close family member, but a very close neighbor that I knew all my life. He was unfortunate and did not make it. Although we try and keep his wife he left behind company since she is alone now.....its very tough.

Eh, I didn't get one of em... They don't tell me why which sucks, but oh well. I am still waiting on the other... If that doesn't pan out, then I just need to apply to more places... It's going to be an on going thing until I land one.

Hate to say it bro, but I kinda thought that might happen. One of my really good friends from college wanted to be a cop as bad as anyone I have seen and he could not get a position. Same thing with a friend who wanted to be a firefighter. Neither had anything in their past that would have stopped it. It's hard.

I'd be glad they didn't physically harass her and that she returned back home safely. Im not saying they were not wrong, more like the longer and more you let it bother you the more they win for affecting you so much.
