Default What's the learning curve for PRP?

How difficult is the PRP software to learn and use? I've got a Xcal2 right now but was thinking about upgrading to PRP sometime in the future.

Very steep, not impossible, but steep.

What's it cost to upgrade from Xcal2 to PRP?

I have the PRP and I haven't done shit with it yet because I understand .1% of it. I will need a manual and some trial and error time to get totally comfortable with it. There are a lot of parameters you need to know, and then knowing which work well together, and work off of another, takes even more time. There needs to be a "Tune an SRT-4 with SCT for Dummies" book released for this.

I paid $400 for the PRP utility.

Let's just say that Rasp's $400 purchase is less than half of the dealer cost on it now.

Shit if that's the case, I'd spend the additional few hundred dollars and just get an AEM EMS. Last I knew the entire PRP was $1,000, right? I was talking about just the software to tune; as I bought the flasher totally separately.

Yeah, I already have the Xcal2. I'd just need the software/dongle/whatev

If it really is much more than a $400 option, AEM may be a better choice later.

It was the plan from Day 1. SCT told everyone that it was an introductory price.

Dealer's cost may have gone up but their website still shows the prp as $999. I can't see them charging the whole cost if you already have the xcal, but who knows. Maybe the best thing would to be contact them directly

PM Me with an offer.
