Unlocked SCT Tuner

Since us canucks have no good SCT tuning shops around British Columbia and the SCT does not datalog I went with the DSP since I have to get email tunes.

Now I have this tuner and from what I have read it can be used 2 more times before it locks. I was able to find a thread about a locked one for sale but not an unlocked one.

What is this thing worth?

Explain more what you're trying to do with this post, SCT isn't going to check this section anytime soon if you're trying to contact them.

If its a brand new unlocked one I would think its safe to assume its worth as much as a brand new unlocked one ($~400) but you could probably sell it in the FS section for closer to $300

Thanks Shava I was trying to get an idea what I should sell it for since it is no use to me. Normally you can get a good idea what an item will sell for via the parts for sale section but this item has not come up often. (or at all in my Google searches) I will most likely post it for $200 since it is used thanks for giving me an idea of what is is worth.

I thought the Dealer-flashed X-cal only locks once , & its the PRP version that has the ability to unlock twice , IF you return your ECU to original tune .

I believe all the SCT tuners have the ability to be mated with 3 unique VIN's before they lock. I know mine now display's Changes left 2.

But I am not 100% certain.
