Default Tuning a friends car and running into a problem

So my buddy has an 05 with an e1. He is on stock injectors, pump, wga, and he's got a 3" exhaust. Since there is no stage 1 for 05, I took a stage 2 program and put all the stock values into it. Once I did that the car would boost way to high in any gear with the exception of first gear. Btw, he is on the 2.25 bar sensors which is why I did what I did. Since it boosted really high, I took 15% out of the bottom three rows on the desired torque table and now it boosts about 16 psi. Now that the boost is ok it popped up with a P0123 check engine light which is "throttle/pedal postion sensor/switch A circuit high input."

I dunno what to do now.

why don't you use a regular mbc ?

I know it's nice to have the solenoids, but if they bring more problems than they solve...

I know,,,,Fix it.

The code for high TPS voltage(>4.4721v) doesn't happen on its own. Something has failed(wiring or sensor). Follow the Factory diagnostic procedures and fix it.

Thank you. I wasn't sure if that was because of what I did in the tuning or because he just happened to get a faulty TPS. I will check the voltage at the tps next time I am with him. Would it be ok to do that through the OBD II port? Or do you suggest manually doing it?

I have zero problems controlling boost with the computer. We both perfer to have factory like driveability. He has a MBC but we are eliminating it.

Factory procedures call to check it BOTH ways. Don't you have a copy of the Prowertrain Diagnostic manual??

Here's a link

since you seem to have the stock WG
why don`t you keep the stock 05 code
and remove over boost code
you should be good with that
not totally sure...was running clamp and tip mod when i was still using the code

if you change the wg you will probably end up with a correlation error
and by experience you get into limp mod if you stay above 6 psi for about 1 or 2 sec when in ptb but with stock wg you can`t go that hi

Because when I did that, I had problems with the rear O2 sensor still wanting to throw a code... Some of the stuff that is supposed to be turned off with certain values didn't always seem to work... I dunno why, but that's what happened... I might try what you suggest also, but he said everything is fine now. No more CEL... So I dunno...
