So your site says its $499 for the Chrysler people, is that the PRP price? I am more than willing to put in the time to learn to tune it myself, but there are no dynos here that are reasonably priced, at least not within a 2-3 hour drive. Would I be able to tune it on the street? I am using a mapclamp now that is irritating because I have to adjust it so often. Wideband and scan gauge good enough to help tune?

499.00 is for the PRP software if you already have a DCX tuner.

Data logging is the biggest hurtle for street tuning, you can't just go on wide band alone, you need to monitor, timing, knock, fuel pressure, boost, all at the same time.

Hmm, ok... So it would be more like a grand for the full setup?

Awsome.

However, since I have the handheld thing, can I plug it in a modify a, for example, Agp pretuned map?? To make it more agressive? Or just so I dont have to keep emailing things and worrying wheather or not agp tuners are available?

Re read my first post. You cannot alter anything with just the Xcal II. All you can do is export data from the Advantage III software to the PCM.

I was thinking about getting a DTEC because it's cheaper...but after reading up on the SCT, I really like what I'm hearing.

I have a wideband, and will be getting the aeroforce scangage soon, but I don't really plan on having any means to monitor fuel pressure in the near future, but will likely end up with a return line in a year or so. Could I still street tune it? And then make adjustments for new mods? Cant really spend a grand on this, and then another grand having it tuned on a dyno every time I change something. Plus I really don't like other people putting their dick-beaters all over my car.

I would love to get a system like this set up instead of going with a fuel piggyback. I would love to have the computer running the show more than a piggyback as the computer would still ultimately have its fail safes and adjust on its own to weather and elevation changes and such. Or so I would think.

Sorry if I ask too many questions, I am just tentative about something so expensive that can have catastrophic problems if it isn't handled right. Know what I mean? Thanks for all the info too. Much appreciated.

you need DATALOGGING software... an aeroforce gauge isnt remotely sufficient enough.

on a side note,
i love how every1 wants to run a PRP and tune themselves but fail to realize how indepth it really is...

Never used datalogging of any sort, wouldn't even know what I could use. I know tons of people tune their SAFC and DTEC on their own... Granted this is a bit more in depth, but if its that difficult, it might not be worth anywhere near that price.

I love tho, how some people poke fun at people who cant afford to bleed money into their cars. If I had enough money to pay to have all this shit done, I would probably be running a C5 Z06. I LOVE my car tho!
