So I have been looking through the forum here to try and get a correct answer, but some of the posts are old, so I'll ask again.
I have to get my info over to SCT tomorrow to get my dongle activated. Is SCT giving me access to TWO processor codes, or just one?
If there are only giving me one code, what other options exist to get the information off other staged tunes?
My dilemma is that I'm waiting for new 3bar map/tip to come in cause the PCM would probably have a heart attack scaling my 5 bar and I don't feel like re-wiring anyways, so for the time being, it would be convenient to have a stage 0 map, then the stage 2 when the new sensors arrive. If I choose the stage 0, is it possible to get the stage 2 scaling and load it in?
I bought my system this spring , And was told by SCT to choose two base-codes . I went with stage0 & stage 2 .
I wanted a 3-bar base code , which is why I choose stage2 . Yes , you can setup a stage 0 or stage 1 to run a 3-bar setup , I likes the idea of it being a proper Mopar written 3-bar with all the correct VE , spark , wategate , torque target info built in . this base code works good with both stock turbos , and with adjustment , works good with aftermarket turbo setups . I consider stage2 the best all around base-code .
Now the hard choice for me , stage0 or stage1 . The reason I went with stage0 was if i ever am required to pass emissions , or need to go back to "stock" , I can without using up an "unlock" , which you can only do twice .
Stage 1 has its advantages if you never plan on going 3-bar .
That , and I know some very good tuners on here have had success with the stage1 base code .
So SCT got my dongle activated and everything seemed peachy till I got home to put in my processor code and its AG, lol.
Another day wasted...
is it the processor code they gave you or the one you have in your car
if it`s the one in your car, sct don`t have all of them, just use stage 0 or stage 2 code and write it in your pcm...the initial pcm processor code doesn`t really matter...your are going to overwrite it anyway
