Default SCT PRP Questions...

Well, I just got my PRP and I must say it's really not as intimidating as I was led to believe... Even with that being so, I was hoping maybe you guys could answer a few questions for me.

First of all, what needs to be done to support a 3 bar TIP sensor? I can't find a scalar or a function that allows me to change anything in regards to TIP behavior. Well, with the exception of the TIP configuration scalar but I have no idea what this parameter does. It's obviously a binary parameter... Anyone have thoughts on the function of each bit?

I'm sure I'll come up with a couple other questions but that's it for now...

Thanks!

I see you've had quite the fiasco with this! Thankfully I'm not paying for dyno time so I've got all the time in the world to figure it out...

Sorry, I forgot to mention earlier that I answered my own question! Thanks though!

And now I have another one... Has anyone played with the fuel injection timing table? What units do the values correspond to?

Thanks!

Either wait til someone close to you has figured it out or wait til SCT has figured out how to do it.

The same reason we are, better driveability, better smoother tunes, passes emissions, no more piggy backs, less stuff to go wrong, Consistant performance regarless of weather or elevation changes everything works like it came from the factory with all the power the parts will make, computer is able to do what it was designed to do, make maximum Safe Power.

In my Professional opinion there is no better tuning solution for this car on this day.

That may sound a bit harsh but sometimes the truth is not what everyone wants to hear.

Peace!

Ted.

Already there! Spent the whole weekend tuning the car.

I corrected the fuel injector mass to PW function and vise versa, reconfigured my knock sensor for better knock detection with my setup, adjusted various other drivability functions and tables, started tweaking with ignition timing, did extensive fuel tuning, and adjusted temperature values for my fan. Today I plan on playing with some other functions and maps to see how they affect the car...

I started at 9 PSI and worked my way up to 20 PSI and honestly the car has never run better!

I honestly can't figure out why you're having the issues you are...

Glad to hear it man. Actually last Tuesday SCT was supposed to get back to me with a fix because they said they knew what the problem was. It's been a week. Still nothing. The tuner left some messages for Dave today.

Any specifics? I kinda wonder if it has something to do with your specific PCM. What's your PCM's part number anyway?
