Default SCT Pro Racer Software - Updating hangs?

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm having a hell of a time starting my Pro Racer software, says dongle error, then I have to update, and every time I update, it gives me hanging issues.

I've tried it on 2 systems, xp and vista, and both seem to have the same problem...

x2

you have to insert the USB memory stick they gave you (that's the "dongle") then launch the program.

I'm able to enter my "ecu number" (I took the Stage2) and then the software crash. It just close leaving nothing on the screen....

....

install your ECU number? You need to load a tune when you open up the software....make the changes you want to the tune and then upload it to the XCAL. When you plug your XCAL into your car....go to load the tune to your pcm it will then auto save your pcm data before overwriting it....least I think thats how it happens. I havent successfully done mine either....the guy I bought mine from did not flash his back to stock. So I had to send back to him to unlock it before I can use it.

When you ran the install, did you have anti virus or anti spyware software running? This is the most common cause of these types of problems that I have run across. I had a PC here last week that had issues and could only be fixed by uninstalling, disabling all startup programs in msconfig, and stopping any services related to anti virus, windows defender, etc. Then I reinstalled and everything worked fine.
