I made the hard decision in trading off my SRT The dealership wasn't interested in the SCT hand held that I bought from AGP to run my 750's and 3147. I explained to the salesman that it was "married" to the computer for my car, but he didn't want it to come with the car. My question is:
Is there a way to format it so I can sell it to someone who can get some use out of it? By format I mean un-marry it to my car without having my car available? I'm hoping the SCT hand held isn't comlpetely useless. Let me know!
Chris

nope you need to plug it into the car and reflash it back to stock then you are able to sell it. with out having the car you might be able to cal sct and PAY a fee for them to do that for you not sure what it will cost. but i would just go back to the dealer and flash it back to stock. If you cant call sct.
so wait the sct handheld can only be used on one car ? say like i have one and my two buddys have the same car as me i cant reuse it with the tunes agp puts on there... i thought you can use it up to three of the same cars then thats it ?

The tuner can be unlocked if you flash the car it's married to back to its original factory tune. IIRC, SCT gives you like 5 or 6 "reverts" back to the stock tune to unlock the handheld before you have to send it in to have it unlocked. Pretty damn ridiculous.
No you cannot reuse the AGP tunes and put them on 2 different cars with 1 handheld. You MUST revert the original flashed car back to its saved (factory/S2/S1/whatever) flash first before you can flash another vehicle.
ahh ok so as long as you flash the car back to stock your ok to use it so say i used it for my car then i decided to go with a aem stand alone.. so i flashed my car back to stock then one of my friends can use it... am i on the right track
