Just some questions about SCT Flash.

Hey all,

I recently stumbled across a GREAT deal for an SCT Flash device on the forum and I just have a few questions ..

The main question is that, well, the guy is out in France. Now, does it make a difference as to where he is? The product itself should be the same, right? We've been shooting each other PMs but the time difference isn't really helping with me getting my answers quickly, lol .. was just wondering if anyone else had any experience ordering stuff from over seas. ( the guys got a grade trader rating from buyers and sellers so I'm not too worried. )

Another question about the SCT Flash itself goes out to people who've used it / tuned with it. -- How imperative is it to have the car dyno tuned once the tune is uploaded through the SCT Flash? I'm under the assumption that the parameters are very specific, but I've never seen an SCT handheld in action so I wasn't sure .. Basically, all I would have done to the car would be an AGP WGA for now. What're your guys thoughts about getting dyno tuned with just that part after using the SCT Flash?

Keep in mind my income is shitty because of my shitty ass job and the recession ( went through 4 years of college just to graduate into one of the worst economies this country has seen .... but that's for another debate, lol. ) I probably wouldn't be able to afford a real dyno tune right away. So, would I really need to get one done or can I wait it out after the WGA is installed and I get a little tune done through the SCT Flash?

If the only thing you have done is the WGA, then you don't really need a dyno tune. There are several vendors here that should be able to give you a mail order tune (they can just e-mail it to you) that will be just fine.

As far as it being from France... he would have had to order it from someone in the US. I've shipped a few XCal2's over to Germany, have another one going out too. SCT only does business in the US, but a few authorized SCT dealers don't have problems shipping to other countries.
