Ted is right, you need to run updates regularly. I run an update before I open Advantage 3 every single time I open it.

Dave @ SCT is great, he always fixes issues I find ASAP. It's probably a little different for guys like Ted and I though that are actual authorized dealers/tuners and not just using the PRP. We have direct lines of communication with people at SCT, so it's a little easier for us to complain loud enough to get somethint taken care of. I've never actually used the bug report feature, I always send someone @ SCT an e-mail with the issue and follow up with a phone call.

If you guys find issues... post them up... if I can duplicate the issue I'd be happy to send it up if it's not getting resolved.

Honestly, the update client is one of the areas I'm having major issues with. For one reason or another it continually fails to update or throws a Windblows exception error. I have confirmed this on two machines now... Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Here's where I posted some of the issues I'm having...
Problems/Bugs with Advantage III

Can anyone confirm any of this?

If you have any problems you should contact Dave Siedel at SCT. He's a great guy and will help you out pretty fast. We got this program when it FIRST came out, and luckily for us we are litteraly 5 minutes away from SCT. So we spent ALOT of time over there working with Dave on the Advantage program. Honestly, if it wasn't for him we would have been completely lost. By the way you may want to do an update like alot of people are saying. I was at SCT a few weeks ago and Dave showed me some new features he was going to put into the update(On and Off buttons for codes and some other stuff). I'm pretty sure he's already put them in an update.

also as for opening the advantage software and the updating tool. MAKE YOUR OWN SHORTCUTS!!! I remember I was getting the same winblows errors when attempting to update. Also every time I tried opening the software I would get an error. Long story short the links the install creates suck and you need to create your own out of the folder the install is in. Once you make your own links it works just perfect. I have Mana4real to thank for that.

At McDonalds! Just don't order anything else with tomatoes! You'll probably get eggplant or something nasty instead!

Thanks again!
