Default Is it just me?!?

Dude, this software is STILL littered with bugs. I would have thought that in the last 8 months that the Advantage III software would have been mostly debugged.

Has SCT been accepting and correct bug reports? Seriously, I find a new bug every five minutes...

Let me know! Thanks!

Maybe make a bug thread and have it made as a sticky? This way they can be collected in one thread and not said over and over again?

Well, I started a thread in the SCT Flash forum. Check it out there and post any bugs you guys are finding. Hopefully they'll work them out for us...

SCT is constantly improving the software but you must update Weekly sometimes daily to see the improvements.

I for one have very few problems with the software and when I do, they get fixed immediately.

I haven't updated in a few months. Everytime I update I can't use it for one reason or another for about a week. It's to much trouble when you are in the middle of tuning.

As a rule I update every Monday Morning.
I have never experienced what you stated.
I use this software Daily.
Maybe you should talk to Dave about your not being able to use the software after an update.

In fact this week I discovered a small bug, Emailed Dave and in 4 hours it was fixed.

05029832AE on this code the WOT Spark Map Scailing was screwed up and is now fixed.

I don't think you have had the software as long as I have. I was here from the beginning. I was on the preorder for it. So I have gone through some crap with it. Moreause and I had a problem with us not being able to tune our tuner for a week... He had the problem longer then me, and once I had the problem SCT knew it wasn't user side, it was on the software side of it. It took a few days to get it fixed. I am glad that they did, but it still sucks when you are right in the middle of tuning, decide to do an update and then you're screwed for however long it takes em to repair it. Unlike you, I tune my car on the weekend on my off days. I work during the week. Dave has been great as far as taking care of things, it's just hard sometimes. I also believe that you are in a time zone closer to them, so it's even easier for you to call them up. I am three hours behind them. So I have to wake up before the buttcrack of dawn if I hope to have anything fixed that day... Then I can't test it because I am at work all day. So everything takes longer to get fixed for some of us PRP guys.

If you're still afraid of updates breaking something then you might want to install a virtualization environment such as VMware, and then install the SCT software inside a "virtual" PC. When you get the SCT software working good then you can make a backup of the virtual machine (VM) and continue to use and update your other one. If for some reason something gets hosed it would take a few seconds to fire up your backup VM. VMware offers a free version and there's other options out there as well depending on if you have a Mac or a PC.
