XTREMEBOOST OF ORLANDO FLORIDA FUCKED MY TRANSMISSION. THEY SWAPPED OUT A CLUTCH AND PUT NO TRANNY FLUID BACK IN. but i can't prove it, so i guess that means i'm lying. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FORMER VENDOR. THEIR TURBO KITS ARE TERRIBLE AND THEIR INSTALLS ARE EVEN WORSE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
if i could get the car running perfect i'd keep it. but i've got some issues that are not nessecarily beyond my ability to fix, but i don't have the tools or facilities.
finally back to pcm boost control again
but i will have to play with it..
i have seen a 25 psi and not a good afr
so will have to check the boost setting...and wot fuel
well, i was throwing a p1187, something about the tip sensor not reading properly, and i'm tired of that little fucking orange light, so i checked the sensor, and it's not hooked up to anything. i also saw that the wires to the sensor were not connected, merely taped to the housing, no plug. xtremeboost was supposed to put a new engine wiring harness in, after my map sensor, tip sensor, and fuel injectors got stolen. dunno if it's all on the same harness or what, but the IAT and the TIP were all messed up, so i spend a little bit with a soldering iron and some electrical tape, and a bit of loom and wired them up properly. then i teed off the throttle body (like the underhood vac diagram shows) and the car was acting all sorts of fucked up. looked the diagram up on here and found out it was on the wrong side of the throttle body. so i removed my coldside pipe, drilled and tapped a vacuum fitting on the bitch, and redid my vac lines. it was pretty actually. my iat still doesn't read properly, according to the drb, it registers 5.00 volts, which means the sensor's got to be messed up. if it was a wiring issue, it wouldn't show any voltage at all. anyway, i'll have to troubleshoot that next. but the car does run a hell of a lot better with the tip hooked up.
Hmm, are you sure you scan tool is right? There should be a 5v wire, a negative wire and the signal wire. So if your getting 5v you either have the wiring wrong or the tool is wrong. I doubt the sensor is sending out 5v because it is bad, it should just not fluctuate or something else. Plus the car should be pulling timing like crazy if it thinks the IAT is pegged hot. Something isn't right here. Don't know what but something.... In fact it really should throw a code if the sensor is bad.
So someone stole your injectors and sensors? What a weird thing to do.. And ghey as hell too. Must have been someone you know to know that you even had a stage kit. I would take that shit back to whoever was supposed to replace the harness cause the insurance company PAID them to replace it and they tried to pull a fast one. That is prob like $300 in parts and like 6 hours labor they ripped the insurance co off on.
