Default Going from stock WG tables to S2 WG tables

OK I have tried to copy the Stage 2 WG Duty Cycle table over to the stock PCM but i can only change the values in the table, i can not change the x and y axis which are way differnet between the two.

I have tried to save the selected values and then load the selected values and it will still only change the vaules in the table.

why not use the stage 2 map to start as a base?

I tried that.

I'm running a 04 GT Cruiser PCM and when i use the stage 2 code it runs like crap and throws a code right away. I don't remember what the code was.

I had the Stage 2 code scaled properly for both the Stage 1 injectors and the 2.25 bar MAP/TIP sensors.

also on my GT cruiser code the VE bank one only goes up to 2816 when the stage 2 code goes up to 6560.

Is their any way to to transfer complete tables scalling and all?

I dont think you can copy entire VE tables between codes . For example , stage 2 injector vs. fuel charge tables have many more cells than the stage0 equivalent . it has a higher resolution & much more top end headroom . Im willing to bet that the stage two has more headroom due to the extra 10+ psi available with the 3bar setup . at one point I was running a stage0 code converted to 3bar . to do this I had to transfer my stage2 injector scaling for my RC650cc injectors & convert it to the stage0 tables . I decided to leave the pwm side of the tables alone and just messed with the fuel charge side . Some pwm points were the same , most were not , stage0 stopped at 35,000 microseconds , stage2 at 100,000 micros . there is two ways to figure out the math to rescale new flow at different pulse-width points . determine the difference between old/new pwm points & multiply new fuel charge scale by that amount . for example , if stage0 table has its first pwm point of 500 micros , but the stage two is at 600 , you would take your stage two fuelcharge amount at the first point & multiply by .833 (500 divided by 600) to get is fuel charge value at a 500 micro point .
The other , less accurate way involves of graph paper , plot out both tabes onto large graph then draw lines from stage0 points into stage2 fuel-flow curve at that point . I may not be explaining this well . its easier to show than type .

My example deals with injector scaling , but the concept is the same for scaling/offsetting VE tables .

Im self taught , other than help I get here , so my methods may be ass backwards , but it seems to work . See , your teacher was right when she said "someday you will wish you paid attention in math class ."

my main issue with the code i am running is the VE only goes up to 2816 on the RPM Axis.

Where is the PCM getting the VE for the 2816-6200?

If i could change the axis values i could solve this but it does not let me do so.\

EDIT: after some searching around on the forums i realizd that their were other tables that set the X and Y axis

Now i copied the Stage 2 VE, WOT FUEL, WOT SPARK, and Desired Torque.

my stage0 & stage2 VE tables go up to 6000+ on the rpm axis . I cant imagine why your GT code would only go up to 2816 . Have you talked to Mike at SCT about this ? Are the GT Cruisers flying blind beyond 3000 rpm ? that cant be right . Or is it extrapolating beyond that rpm based on known data points ? Anybody else running the GT code ?

Yea, i have no idea. i'm assumin it just used the value at 2816 from their on up but that doesn't seem like it would work very well.

O well it doesn't matter now, i have the whole stage 2 VE table in my GT Cruiser code.

There's a lot more work involved getting it to work properly on a GT Cruiser than just save/load values or copy and paste.

I have tuned an '04 GT Cruiser to Stage 2 SRT-4 specs. It has the 3 BAR MAP and TIP sensors installed, and the Stage 2 injectors. Works great. I think we have this car spiking 18psi and holding 16psi with advanced timing for 93 octane right now.

I'm working on another '04 GT Cruiser (same PCM part number) and tuning it to SRT-4 Stage 3 specs... it has the complete Stage 3 kit on it, turbo, pump, fuel rail, injectors, sensors, everything. I have to change the turbo parameters on this one still, it's only hitting 7psi, but everything else is running great.

As you've already discovered, trying to use the Stage 2 or Stage 3 code on that PCM does not work. I don't remember what we ran into trying to run the Stage 2 code, but trying to run the Stage 3 code caused the speedo to read 120mph when the car was only going 15mph, and it tripped the air bag light.

yep, there are some tables that need to be brought over.

I am going to only run stae 1 injectors so i left that alone

I also left the WG tables along as im staying with stock WG for the moment.

I've gotten the hang of how things work and now its pretty easy.
I also just got done turning on cruise control
