Default Generic Tunes

I figured we could use a thread with some generic tunes to get people started. These will be usefull for those waiting to get some time scheduled for a tuner, or those just starting off with the Pro Racer Package trying to figure things out.

I will start out by posting just 1 generic tune, I may add others later if I feel like it. If you have a tune you'd like to share with everybody and need a place to post it, feel free to PM me and I'll host it on my site. Please DO NOT pm me looking for hand-outs. If I'm going to put a free tune out there, it will be in this thread.

04-05 3bar, 750cc/min injectors @ 43.5psi on return line, 7000rpm rev limiter, 170mph speed limiter.

Advantage 3 File: http://www.aerospheric.com/tunes/3bar750cc.mtf
LiveLoad File: http://www.aerospheric.com/tunes/3bar750cc.ll3

This tune should make your idle and part throttle nice and smooth if you have at minimum a 3bar MAP (you'll need the 3bar TIP too or you'll throw codes, but it should still run fine without it) and are running 750cc injectors on a return line. If you are still on PCM controlled boost, you will only get stock boost levels (unless you go in and make the changes yourself). You will of course need to go in and fine tune your own WOT. This is just a generic tune to get you started and get you off that piggy back if you're still using one. This tune is safe for those of us out west that are stuck with 91 octane.

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I am not responsible for anything that happens to your car while using this tune.

I may post another version of this tomorrow with the TIP checks and overboost checks turned off for those who have removed their TIP sensor and run higher than stock boost.

Ahh crap, that's what I get for posting so late at night right before I go to bed. I'll have to fix it when I get home from work tonight.

Thanks for the tune bud. I will be flashing this before I head out this weekend. There is another thread in this section somewhere that tells you how to turn that off. I havent checked my engine codes I have that are throwing, but I am not using my tip sensor or the rear o2. Although I have a stage 2 flash on the car with just the injectors scaled I am guessing the only code I have is the tip sensor....will have to check and see what codes I am throwing first I suppose. How did you fix the rev limit? I am assuming I will need to get it fine tuned, but did you rewrite the upper rpm band? I just remember people saying it only references areas when it get up higher and doesnt really have cells or something to work with...wasnt sure how safe it was to rev higher unless it was rescaled correctly

Looks like they haven't added the parameters to shut off the TIP to the SRT-4 codes yet. I have been testing that for them on my car, I know there's supposed to be an update to add it to the SRT-4 soon.

Here's the same tune as in the first post, but with the Rear O2 and Overboost checks turned off.
Advantage 3 File: http://www.aerospheric.com/Tunes/3bar750ccnoO.mtf
LiveLoad File: http://www.aerospheric.com/Tunes/3bar750ccnoO.ll3

The Rev limit is raised to 7000, but you may need to change the scalar for the fuel and spark tables to take them out to 7000. Those tables are 17x17 and go from 608 to 6560 rpm. It will just use the values in the 6560rpm column of the table from there all the way to 7000. So if you need an adjustment somewhere inbetween that range, you'll have to change the scalar.

Ah yes thats what I was talking about. I will have to get the tuner to change the scaler when he tunes it.

edit: just wondering this is tuned for 43psi, but with the 1:1 hookup on the FPR? Just havent flashed, but wondering before I flash and drive with or without it hooked up.

Yes. It will go rich at WOT without further tuning though. It's mostly meant to get you started. idle and part throttle should be awesome with it. WOT will be OK but on the rich side.

I'm off to the track now!

How did you have your MAP & TIP with this tune? I tried it and got the P2047 code like I got PTB or something. I haven't seen that code in forever. I tried every possible TIP setup I could except the stock 2BAR run through the solenoid like stock.

are you running pcm controlled boost or other means of controlling boost?

I'm using a manual boost controller on a big turbo.

Well the tip from what I read above cannot be turned off just yet so your going to get that. Also did you flash and modify a stage 2 tune or a stage 1? It would be best to modify a stage 2.
