flashing stock pcm to staged with prp - SRT Forums

since i cant seem to get in on sct's forums prp section yet, i might as well ask you guys. I know that i can flash my stocker to any staged pcm, but what is the procedure for doing so? YES, i am very new to sct's prp (like one day into it) and still getting familiar but wanna start with a diff stage tune and work from there. anyone wanna help the newest prp newb out?

Once your PRP is unlocked , when you open the Advantage software it will ask you what PCM code you want to open . Enter a stage code# , you should have 1 or 2 codes available to you , right ? the guy at SCT should have had that disscision with you when they enabled your software .
The SCT Wiki has a list of most of the stage-codes available for the SCT PRP . Enter the code you are going to use and the software should finish opening .

The code Im using , for example , is the 04 stage2 code .

When you install a stage2 flash , you MUST have the 3-bar MAP & TIP sensors installed , & larger injectors . If you are not using Mopar stage2 injectors , you must rescale your PWM vs. Fuel charge table & its inverse table , Fuel charge vs. PWM table to match the flow characteristics of the new injectors . This is explained in the SCT Wiki (injector rescale page) , as well as it has a calculator application to help you out .

And if you don't have 3bar sensors to go with with the S2 code, just change the Map slope back to stock.

Stock Map slope: 46.38
S2/S3 Map slope: 61.85

Stock clutch (but act six puck is sitting in garage waiting to be installed)

15 BIG decals (cause those each add AT LEAST 15 hp)
might be some i forgot, but i'll add as i remember

do you agree that the stage two base flash would be the best to start with when tuning with my mods?

stage 2 code has been unlocked for me by sct. Now i am trying to build a tune but will prolly have a lot of ?'s for you guys. I have loaded the stage two code into advantage and rescaled the inj tables (both of them) for my rc 650's.
now i need a little advice on what i should look at next. Is there a specific order I need to go in when changing tables?

Oh, also i have seen a lot of complaints on here about cs at sct regarding contacting them and having to wait on hold forever to get someone to help you. Well I think (at least the two times i tried this) that I have found a better way. Try getting online and using their online tech support. both times I waited less than two minutes for someone to help me and got both issues resolved in less than five additional minutes. Hope this helps someone out.

Yeah i read so much that i cant make heads or tails of it now, my eyes hurt. but i did read the wiki, just not sure how to compensate for extra air flow (VE table, correct?) from 24 psi E1, and large intercooler, 62mm tb, and such, blah blah blah. a little overwhelming right now but hopefully it'll get better. Thats how we all learned, right? I'm pretty sure no one popped out of the womb tuning cars.

well if you have not pulled all the vac lines start there with some boost control. Read the "Desired torque" page to understand what it does, then start doing the procedure on the "Boost control" page. You will want to do EXACTLY as the wiki states so that you have a nice smooth boost curve. This will get your feet wet for now I am sure. also try using a couple small stickers. (especially all lined up in a column at the edge of the front door.) i hear that this helps with some drivability issues and will make your MPG go up.

but seriously, the sections in the wiki you are talking about are for pcm controlled boost right? I'd rather keep it that way instead of yanking it all off and going manual boost control.

I'm gonna start by using the base stage two code and adjust for inj size. Then i am going to adjust boost control (per the wiki) to get to my desired level. Once i am done with that i will report back.

I am a little nervous about doing that though because i have not altered the timing table yet, but I am assuming the timing for the stage two pcm should be at a safe level to start. then I can fool with that later right? And also fuel.
Is it correct to do these two steps first? (inj and boost)
