Dongle Issue

Without registering the dongle, will I even have access to the advantage software, or is it going to give me a dongle error. Getting this unit on a friday has really been sucky....

You need the dongle to be actvated by SCT to open the advantage software . It might be possible to do it yourself online , go to there website & check out the download section for the srt4 xcal2 section . Sct will need the legal papers signed & faxed to them before they will allow the dongle to activate . Because of some download issues with my netbook , Mike @ SCT did the download/activation remotely online himself . If you want to get this up & running , I reccomend calling SCT monday . FIRST THING IN THE MORNING !!!! if you wait too long , you will have a hard time getting to talk to a tech .

i was looking online and didn't see any place to register it. I was able to register the xcal but not the dongle. If anyone knows a way to register online, please chime in. thanks.

normally after you fax them the paper, they activate the dongle

but that is not alway perfect

because they sometime activate the dongle, but with no access to pcm code...so your are still stuck
