I plan on removing my AVCR and DTEC and run my car with the SCT. I was told I just needed a MBC (and I have one). Main mods are AGP 3147 (ext. gated), 750s, stage one PCM, with fuel ran by DTEC and boost controlled by the AVCR. The reason I am switching is to make things simple for me as the AVCR is too much for me in a DD and there are wires taking over my car. Anything else I need? How do I make the swap once the AVCR and DTEC are taken off?
Ok, remove the AVCR and the dtec... Please solder and heat shrink everything back together. Don't use butt connectors ... Are you having someone else tune your car? Or do you have a pro racer package?
To properly use the SCT, having all the stock vacuum lines is highly recommended. There really isn't anything to swap with the SCT handheld. You just program the computer
Where are you at in IL? If you remove that stuff and get your wiring back to stock, you can bring it over and I'll help you tune it. I'm near Rockford.

Don't worry about butt connectors, I HATE them. No PRP, just the regular one. My other question is with the 750s on a stage one PCM controlled car before the SCT goes in wont I be running into a problem? I don't want the car to go into shock after the DTEC and AVCR are removed. I guess I'll just be keeping an eye on my wideband.

Do you have the XCal2 already? If you PM me your e-mail address, I can send you a tune file rescaled for the 750's. Then all you will do is flash the PCM with the XCal2 after you remove everything else, and before you drive the car again. Then you'll at least have something to run on until you get a full tune.
You should come up to Belvidere for Neons 09... they're at Cottonwood park right now doing the car show... I'm swinging by after work this afternoon... they might be back at the Belvidere Hotel on State street (next to Jack Wolf Chrysler) by the time I get there though.
