hey i just got orders to Hickam AFB, HI. my report no later than date is May 31, 2010. I cant fucking wait, BAH is $2000/month and cola is $21 a day, hopefully living expences arnt TOO pricy. Im use to BAH being $900 and no COLA. Any hot spots or car scenes around Hickam. How many drag strips are there? Hopefully my srt doesnt rust too quick.

There are no drag strips here. That 2000 of bah goes pretty quick haha. I am renting a place for 2000 a month and utilities are easily almost 300 a month. The cola doesn't outweigh the cost of living out here. Everything is more expensive here. Well if you have anymore questions let me know.

They stopped the ferry system a while ago. Probably an arm and a leg to ship your car to another island now.

It cost about $300 to ship a car inter-island. I think Maui has a track still.

BTW, whose red SRT4 on Schofield couldn't pull away from a bone stock 370Z

it runs that low damn.... i would like to see that.

these are some things that i do for fun:

go snorkeling at hanauma bay, go to dole plantation (pineapple float is ftw), go to the beaches, if you surf you will never be bored haha, go hiking (a lot of good hiking here), and some sight seeing.

just to let you know recon is a bitch. if you can't pass the safety inspection (whether you have aftermaket coilovers, tinted lights, no crash bar, or something like that) they give you a referral to recon and well might as well put a lot of stock parts on to pass.

2009 Nissan 370Z 4.7~0-60 13.3~1/4 mile e.t.(MT Online)

and where is Schofield?

But yeah, all I got on the srt is 50 trim and the other supporting mods, factory tint, and lowering springs. Do they have e-85 there? What octaneís are at most gas stations? I run 94 in mine for now, but Iíve noticed the $.70 difference then back home. I'll defiantly have to take up surfing, I like to sight see while driving, but its Hawaii or South Dakota!!! so Iím not complaining. Iím just hoping I can find a roomie, but if canít make money living off base then Iíll just try to get on base housing since I have a dependant. But thanks a lot Pete uve been a lot of help so far, any other vital info that you have about new military srt guys coming to HI let me know.

Not sure if a lot of people still post there but there is a website for the Hawaii neon guys. Neonwerx.com. Check it out. The highest octane that I know about is 92. Gas is pretty pricey here. I pay roughly 3.33 a gallon for 87 (sold the neon drive a Nissan sentra now). Had a 50trim and fully bolt on neon when I had it. Ran a 12.11 on the stock turbo then upgraded to the fifty. Sold it because of the stupid recon shit here and didn't have time to try to go through the bullshit they make you do to register the vehicle.
