saw a black on 22nd going east - chick driving it, had half tinted depo lights?
this morning I saw a stock black w/ gloss black rims on base.
then I saw a red w/ a sexy expensive looking carbon fiber hood - on base as well
well it wasn't that tough. 5 hours from pulling into the stall to pulling out, for axles and LCA bushings.
I wasted time by knocking out the old vertical bushings when I could have just torched them. Ended up using an oxygen-acetylene torch and they were all burned out within 30 minutes.
Reinstall was pretty easy using a hammer and breaker bar to position the arms prior to stabbing the bolts in.
To get the axles out I just took out the ball joint pinch bolt. Didn't even have to mess with the struts.
saw 2 srt4 today aug 10, first 1 was at 730 am all orangeat the intersection of speedway and wilmot, traveling east on willmot. and the 2nd all black with black rims at the burger king on alverone and grant at 1 pm.
yep, there are lots of them on here in the southwest section.
most recent one is in the thread of pics / vid of our most recent outing at SIR.
Mine is the red w/ black hood and black wing and tinted tail lights. Im sure there are some other threads started by me that include pics of my ride in this section though.
Yeah my clutchmaster's stg 3 went belly up after only a few months, then several of us got sucked into the PTP/southbend vortex because we're cheap bastidges.
Question: Have you ever replaced the pivot ball? We had the plastic tip on one shatter on us, and had to improvise since we've never been able to find the tool for removal. I found a mopar part number for the tool, but I've never sprung for it and none of us has found anything that works here local.
I just replace the plastic piece. I've found that using shims used for galling work great to fit in between the plastic and metal. Just take care when popping the new one on.
Ha - mu iPhone 'corrected' gapping to galling. LOL
You know the different sized shims that you use to gap spark plugs? How they swing out? They are thin enough to get between the plastic and metal piece to pop it off is all. I never shimmed anything.
It is actually a stock pressure plate with a thicker/different disk. This causes all kinds of issues with getting into gear. There is just not enough play in the throwout to deal with the extra thickness. It does hold power unless you are James...
