I'm thinking I should just buy new control arms and install the bushings, then just swap out the whole arm on the car.

Might be safer, did you hear when James did them, he had flaming bushings shooting on the roof of the house and other places

???

Well I hope the auto hobby shop here has fire extinguishers available...

I think they have a press too... that should help reduce any collateral damage.

well it wasn't that tough. 5 hours from pulling into the stall to pulling out, for axles and LCA bushings.

I wasted time by knocking out the old vertical bushings when I could have just torched them. Ended up using an oxygen-acetylene torch and they were all burned out within 30 minutes.

Reinstall was pretty easy using a hammer and breaker bar to position the arms prior to stabbing the bolts in.

To get the axles out I just took out the ball joint pinch bolt. Didn't even have to mess with the struts.

yep, there are lots of them on here in the southwest section.
most recent one is in the thread of pics / vid of our most recent outing at SIR.
Mine is the red w/ black hood and black wing and tinted tail lights. Im sure there are some other threads started by me that include pics of my ride in this section though.

Hmm dont see any. Internet connection in my room blows balls.

Oh BTW - if anybody needs a clutch done while I'm here, I've done at least 20 of them in Vegas.
