Magna, eh? How's the water over there? LOL!

In all seriousness, I don't know of anyone getting rid of their stock motor at the moment. But if I hear of anyone, I'll let you know.

Why don't you do some simple tests on your motor to see how it's wearing? Do a compression test on it, and see how things are looking, maybe get an Oil Analysis done. They aren't too expensive, and will tell you a lot.

You can buy a compression tester from any parts store, and check it yourself. It's as easy as changing the spark plugs, really...

As for the Oil Analysis, go to Amsoil's website, and I believe they have a kit to make it very simple. You just get a sample of your oil during your next oil change, and send it in to them. They will then test it and send you the results.

Yeah, the stock motor still runs, but it has a bent rod in cyl # 4, so it has sat since that happened.

With the new build, I plan to max out the 37R, so somewhere in the 700hp range. Then I am toying with the idea of Nitrous on top of that. We'll see how it all pans out.

Well, realistically, you need to consider what you are getting with the kit, when comparing prices from one setup to another.

With Mopar S3, you get everything you need to just install and go. No messing around with it. No worries about blowing the motor up. You are not only getting a turbo kit, but you are also getting a new fuel system that includes injectors, a new fuel rail, and a new fuel pump. You are also getting a new PCM that is calibrated perfectly for the turbo and fuel system, along with new sensors that will accurately measure boost up to 29 psi. But you'll never make 500 whp with that setup. About 400 is as good as it's gonna get with all the bolt-ons and tuning.

If you were to buy the AMS kit, (assuming you only went with the GT3076R turbo) you'd still need the following:
- Fuel system, to include larger diameter feed line, return line, Walbro 255 fuel pump (Possibly 2 pumps, either in series with each other, or parallel), high flow fuel rail, 750cc injectors, and a RRFPR.
- Tuning, don't even think about piggyback tuners. Look into either a DSP custom CMR tune, SCT PRP, or go full EMS.
- At least a 3 bar MAP sensor. This will have to be set up to work with the PCM via SCT or DSP; or set up in the EMS.
- Built motor to sustain all that power. (The stock bottom end will only get you so far at that power level.)

I'll be keeping that motor around. It's got a bent rod, and would not be able to be saved without at least boring it .020" over, and a full overhaul.
