formosa on friday [9/19]

i'm going to formosa raceway in bakersfield on friday. will be pulling my back seat, spare tonight [gettin ready to install stereo anyways], and will do the ghetto exhaust mod before i leave. i wanna see how good this track is. everyone says its real good.

my roommate is also goin.. so the video will be much better than the shitty video my brothers took at fontana. [about halfway done editing that btw.. got lots of your races in].

anyone else gonna/wanna go?

I hope you have drag radials or slicks, they don't prep the track well at all for test and tunes. My best 60 foot has been a 2.28 with CONSTANT mid-high 2.3's. Even on my BFG street tires I can't go WOT til 3rd gear or I'll spin the tires. I'm going friday but just to watch my friends Red SRT who ran 13.5 there a month ago, he should be a little quicker.

They open the gates at 6PM and you can drive up to the tech line right away, its pretty slow but if you're in line before the gates open you should be able to run when the open the lanes (7PM) they start running cars about 7:15 or so. If you run better than 13.99 make sure you have a helmet or they'll not allow you to run. Prices: 18$ to run, 12$ to watch. The last test and tune had good traction all night long I heard but I didn't go to that one. I would be running my car if my Buschur Exhaust were able to come in before Fri, but its due in Tuesday .

naw.. i only ran a 14.501 as my best last weekend in fontana. but with the mods i have planned, i will need a helmet soon enough.

hopefully this time i will remember to wear pants.. or at least take some i can change into!
