Default Road Altanta Track Weekend November 21-22

Good Morning:

MVP Track Time (MVP Track Time) is hosting it’s first annual “Flyin Turkey Trot” track weekend at Road Atlanta November 21 - 22, 2009. All are welcome and invited to join us for the on-track fun.

We schedule approximatley 2 hours of run sessions for each of the three (Novice, Intermediate and Advanced) run groups each day. We have instructors available for the Novice group.

Visit our web site for details and/or registration (on line or mail-in registration) for Road Atlanta or any our 2009 track events. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call me at (314) 249-3770 or e-mail Feffman@MVPTrackTime.com.

Happy Motoring and I hope to see you at the track!

Mark “Feff” Pfeffer

Can you explain the differences in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced groups? I'm thinking about going and I've never done a "Track Day" before but I have done parade laps on Road Atlanta and I also know the basics of road racing so I'm not sure if I would still be the beginner or in the intermediate group.

Nick:

We look at the experience a driver has on an actual race track and group them accordingly. Since you've never done a track day, we'd include you in our Novice run group. The good news is the rules are the same for all three run groups with regard to passing, point bys, etc.

Feel free to call me at (314) 249-3770 if I can be of further assistance.

So your advanced group requires point by's and limited passing zones?

Yes, it's not a race nor a timed event. Standard HPDE rule.

The entry fee is $400 for the entire weekend or $250 for a single day at Road Atlanta.

Not the format I am used to, but looks like a lot of fun.... Probably won't have my car back from Cali yet though...

Is there a cost associated if someone wanted to come out, and just spectate at this event?

SWEET!!! I would so much rather be a participant...but since it's most likely not going to happen. At least I'll plan to wander out there and watch...maybe even bring my camera for a different type of practice.
